Dr. Mazin Aoun AlGahtani is an Assistant Professor at the Preventive Dental Sciences Department, College of Dentistry, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, Dammam, Saudi Arabia. He earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the same university in 2009, followed by advanced training in Pediatric Dentistry and Craniofacial Science at the University of British Columbia, Canada. He also holds a Doctor of Science in Dental Public Health from Boston University.
Dr. AlGahtani is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and has been a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Saudi Dental Society, and the American Dental Public Health Association. He has received multiple honors, such as the "Junior Faculty of the Year Award" from the University of Dammam and the Prince Abdulmajed bin Abdulaziz Award for outstanding student achievement.
Beyond academia, he has held various leadership and administrative roles, including serving as Chair of the Poll and Survey Unit and Chair of the Exam Monitoring Committee at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University. His contributions extend to curriculum development, quality assurance, and dental preventive programs.
With strong interests in pediatric dentistry, dental public health, and academic leadership, Dr. AlGahtani continues to contribute to advancing dental education, research, and healthcare delivery in Saudi Arabia.
