Dr. Hassan S. Halawany is an Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontics and Community Dentistry at King Saud University, Riyadh. He currently serves as a Board Member of King Saud University Health Company, a Consultant with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, and a Senior Health Insurance Consultant at the King Abdullah Institute.

With advanced training in Pediatric Dentistry and multiple graduate degrees—including a Doctor of Public Health and a Master of Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan—Dr. Halawany has combined clinical expertise with health policy and management. His career spans academia, research, and leadership roles, including Chairmanship of the Dental Caries Research Chair at KSU and Vice Deanship for Quality & Development.

He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and supervised national research projects focusing on dental public health, pediatric dentistry, health policy, and insurance systems. Dr. Halawany is also an active public speaker and contributor to national and international dental conferences.

His research interests include dental public health, pediatric dentistry, healthcare management and policy, health behavior, and health insurance systems.
